Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection conducted by Janet Binns of CDRMS. The mine is a reclaime surface mine. The <br /> Division has previously approved various phase bond releases. No mine buildings or personnel remain on site. <br /> Seneca Property,LLC(the operator)personnel are located at the Foidel Creek Mine office on Routt County Road <br /> No. 27. The inspector checks in with the operator priior to venturing to the mine site. Although the inspector <br /> spoke with Jerry Nettleton of SP,LLC prior to conducting the inspection,no mine personnel accompanied the <br /> inspector on site. <br /> The weather was partly sunny, changing to cloudy,windy, and occasional rain snow mixed storms moving <br /> through. A heavy rain had occurred the preceding night. Snow pack is quickly melting off,though a thin snow <br /> pack, 2-6"with deeper drifts throughout remains on the ground. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Though Sandhill Crane were not observed near pond 13,numerous crane tracks were noted on the <br /> embankment on pond 13. Two Sandhill crane landed and were feeding south of Pond 12. <br /> A beaver was observed crossing the grassy gap road near Pond 11 embankment, <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 11 was discharging. The clear effluent measured 0.1 on the staff gauge of the flume. <br /> SP,LLC has retained a rip rap pile near the outfall to pond 11.
