The Division requests the SP,LLC continue to communicate to the Division as to timing, and
methodology prior to the sampling event.
REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
The snowpack is just melting off. SP personnel stated that the area had received a foot of additional snow
the preceding weekend. Temp are warm during the days leading to seasonal snowmelt. Vegetation is still mostly
dormant in the higher portions of the mine, but grasses are greening up in the lower areas.
No livestock has been brought in to the reclaimed areas at this time.
SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12:
A new slump has occurred south of Pond 006. This slump is relatively small in size, approx.. 30 feet wide
at the head scarp by 25 feet long at the toe. The head scarp is approximately 5 feet high. The majority of this
slump is still snow covered with several inches of snow. The slump is located between(north of)the main access
road to the warehouse area, and south of Pond 006. Neither the pond nor the road are showing any impact from
the slump. Discussion with Jerry Nettleton of Seneca Property LLC,we agreed to monitor this slump and once the
area dries out adequately, SP will use equipment to knock down the head scarp to minimize additional water
lubricating the slip plane. Seeding with the permanent seed mix will help minimize noxious weed invasion of this
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 3 of 9
