April 18,2016 C-1992-08 1/Hayden Gulch Loadout JHB
Culvert RRC-14: (east of the north substation and the Llama pens.)Material has collapsed into the center of the
culvert, similar to problems with RRC-20 in 2015. A depression cone was apparent in the ballast above the
material in the culvert. HGT needs to clear out the material in the culvert. Repairs similar to repairs conducted on
RRC-20 will be acceptable. (photos 6 &7)
All culverts along the TAHR are flowing without any impedance and do not require clean out.
The ditch at the intersection with the road to the gravel pit along the TAHR has become filled with road material
from winter plowing efforts. Water is pooling on the road and not flowing cleanly across the intersection. Re-
establishing this ditch is needed. (photo 8)
The truck loop pond had a pool of water. Water elevation was approx.I foot below the top of the riser elevation.
The pond was not discharging, nor did it appear that it had discharged recently. No problems were identified with
this pond.
The rail loop pond was not inspected due to the rain/snow squall moving in.
ROADS—Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3)
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and(6)/4.03.2(5) and(6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The Tie Across Haul Road has been graded and is good condition. The only exception is the intersection
with the road to the gravel pit. The ditch on the west side of the intersection needs to be re-established.
REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
Vegetation on the reclaimed facilities and office area is greening up. Vegetation appears to be well
established. Bare areas or weedy patches were not notable at this point in the growing season.
SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02:
The majority of the mine ID signs have been updated to reflect the current contact information. One sign
at the northernmost extent of the train track(near the former intersection with the main line)has outdated contact
information,Montgomery Watson. Please update this sign to reflect the current contact information.
