Confirmatory drilling was performed at the following underground <br /> workings: <br /> o UG#6444(further remediation required) <br /> o UG#6514 (remediation completed—see below) <br /> o Upper Anaconda Mine Complex — UG#6525, UG#6524, UG#6488, UG#6487, <br /> UG#6489 (further remediation required) <br /> ➢ An excavator worked to excavate underground working #6478. Further remediation is <br /> required. <br /> ➢ Underground working #6496 was investigated. An excavator was utilized to completely <br /> remove the working and backfill per project technical specifications. The working is <br /> considered remediated. <br /> • Underground working #6514 was investigated. An excavator was utilized to completely <br /> remove the working and backfill per project technical specifications. The working is <br /> considered remediated. <br /> ➢ The third layer of geogrid was placed on the first "step" of UG#6617. As built survey was <br /> completed prior to the placement of six inches of select structural fill over the geogrid. <br /> Compaction of the select structural fill was achieved using a smooth drum roller. Further <br /> remediation is required. <br /> ➢ Three layers of geogrid were placed on the second "step" of UG#6617. As built survey <br /> was completed prior to the placement of six inches of select structural fill over the <br /> geogrid. Compaction of the select structural fill was achieved using a smooth drum <br /> roller. Further remediation is required. <br /> 1.2 Structural Fill <br /> Structural Fill placement continued within the Squaw Gulch VLF Phase II footprint. NewFields <br /> personnel inspected fill material and observed placement and compaction procedures to <br /> ensure that they were in accordance with the project technical specifications. Ambient and fill <br /> material temperatures were monitored and recorded during fill placement to ensure that no <br /> frozen material was placed or compacted in the area.
