Teton Drilling Inc.
Dixie Mine
Clear Creek County, CO
Response to Reclamation Permit Application Consideration from the
Colorado Division of Water Resources
• Regarding the COMMENTS: section we would note this is a surface trenching
operation only and not an underground mining operation.
Conditions For Approval
• All ore and waste rock stored in plate steel fabricated containers to ensure no
exposure to ground water and resulting run off. Containers covered with tarps during
any significant rains and times of lengthy inactivity. Area immediately below these
steel containers are lined with a secondary measure of hay bales to filter and stop any
run off or erosion. Additionally, all nearby dry gulches and ditches line with hay
bales to filter and stop any run off or erosion. So there are multiple layers of
protection to ensure nothing ends up in the ground water run off
• Note: This is a small mining operation. Only a small amount of trench
opened at any time. The estimates for largest size of trench open is less than:
30 ft length x 30 ft depth x 10 ft wide.
• All water will be purchased from a legal source and receipts will be kept as proof.
• Due to size and scope of operation the facility does not have any plans to intercept or
capture storm water runoff -
