McENDAFFER MINE 112 RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION <br /> EXHIBIT E - RECLAMTION PLAN <br /> (a ) A description of the type of reclamation the operator proposes to achieve in the <br /> reclamation of the affected land, why each was chosen,the amount of acreage <br /> accorded to each, and a general discussion of methods of reclamationas related <br /> to the mechanics of earthmoving. <br /> During mining the slopes of the affected areas will be mined at a grade of 3:1, <br /> ready to be then reclaimed when the time is appropriate.The floor of the site will <br /> be mined at a grade suitable for reclaiming when finished so as to slope gently <br /> from west to east as is was when mining began.The site will be seeded to the <br /> grass mixture as noted and returned to range land. <br /> ( b ) A comparison of the proposed post-mining land use to other land uses in the <br /> vicinity and to adopted state and local land use plans and programs. <br /> The proposed return to range land is compatible with other uses in the area and <br /> is a return to what is was pre-mining. <br /> (c ) A description of how the Reclamation Plan will be implemented to meet each <br /> applicable requirement of Section 3.1. <br /> The site reclamation will be competed within one year from completion of <br /> mining. The operator will inform the board that such activity has commenced. It <br /> will take at least two growing seasons for the site to be established. Some parts <br /> of the site could be ahead of schedule as it could have been previously reclaimed. <br /> Section 3.1.5 Reclamation Measures Material Handling. <br /> Sloping will done as mining proceeds so as not to have to do any backfilling <br /> during reclamation activities, virgin materials will remain in the slopes.The floor <br /> of the site will be established and remain some what level while sloping <br /> naturally from west to east.Topsoil piles will be placed in areas of inactivity <br /> and protected for future use. <br /> Section 3.1.6 Water-General Requirements. <br /> The operator will comply with applicable water laws governing injury to <br /> existing water rights and with applicable state and federal water quality and <br /> dredge and fill laws and regulations. <br /> Page 6 <br />
