McENDAFFER MINE 112 RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION <br /> Exhibit C - Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map <br /> See Attached <br /> Exhibit D - Mining Plan <br /> (a) Description of the method of mining to be employed in each stage of the <br /> operation as related to any surface disturbance on effected lands; <br /> This site has been mined under an approved 110 permit since 2010. It is being <br /> converted to a 112 Reclamation Permit due to an increase in acreage.The <br /> total permitted area will now be approximately 31.94 acres including the <br /> scale and scale house area being added to the site. Mining began in the northern <br /> portion of the site and proceeded south, the additional area will be to the north <br /> of the current area. <br /> (b) Earthmoving; <br /> The topsoil will be stripped with scrapers and placed in areas to be available <br /> for use during reclamation and not in the way during mining. No topsoil will be <br /> removed from the site as any and all topsoil will be needed for reclamation. <br /> Mining will be done with dozers, front end loaders, excavators or similar type <br /> equipment. Material will be transported to the crusher or screening plants to <br /> be processed and made available for sale or stockpiled for future use.This will <br /> be an open pit mine accessed by the property owners road currently used for both <br /> the mine and the property owners ranching operations. The site is approximately <br /> 3/4 of a mile from Highway 71 to the west.The operator will maintain the road <br /> for use by both the owners and the operator. <br /> The site will be mined in one phase with completed areas being sloped and <br /> ready for topsoiling at the appropriate time. We will maintain a 15' set back <br /> during mining from the mining boundary as shown on the mining plan map. <br /> The operator may import material from other sites to help with making <br /> specification material if needed or for other reasons. The applicant is <br /> aware that in accordance with Rule 3.1.5(9) of the Construction Material Rules <br /> and Regulations, if any offsite material is to be used as backfill, a notarized <br /> letter will be submitted to the Division indicating that the materials are inert. <br /> The applicant will supply such a letter to the Division if, at the time of reclamation <br /> the applicant intends to use offsite material as backfill. <br /> Page 3 <br />
