WILDLIFE MONITORING
During 2015, topsoil and mining operations were within the 300 yard buffer zone of
active prairie dog colonies. Therefore, to mitigate potential disturbance to possible
burrowing owls, a certified biologist was hired to perform a study to determine whether
any burrowing owls were in the area and using the colonies for nesting. Map 4 shows the
location of the prairie dog colonies where the mitigation work occurred. The report
generated by the consulting biologist can be found in Attachment 3.
G. INTERIM REVEGETATION REPORT
Interim vegetation monitoring did not occur at NHN in 2015.
