Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the New Horizon Mine conducted by Brock Bowles of the Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety. Frank Ferris of Western Fuels,Colorado(WFC)was present for the entire <br /> inspection. The weather conditions were clear with a light wind. The temperature was approximately 60F and the <br /> ground was dry. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> A beaver downed a couple of Russian olive trees in Tuttle Draw by pond 12 (photo 1). <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 7 contained water but was not discharging. The discharge structure and flume were free and clear of <br /> obstructions (photo 2). <br /> Pond 8 contained water but was not discharging. The north inlet was free and clear of obstructions and appeared <br /> to be stable. The dam had sparse vegetation but appeared to be stable (photo 3). <br /> Pond 9 contained water but was not discharging(photo 4). The east and west inlets were free and clear of <br /> obstructions. The discharge structure and outlets were free and clear of obstructions. <br /> Pond 12 contained water but was not discharging. The dam area appeared to be stable. The discharge structure <br /> was free and clear of obstructions. The rock lined inlets were in good condition (photo 5). <br /> The Pond 13 As-Built map that was submitted with TR-70 was field verified and determined to be accurate. Pond <br /> 13 contained water and was discharging(photo 6).
