The text discussing CCC's plan has been added to Page 111.
This item will be resolved with the following stipulation:
Stipulation 19: DEWATERING WELL PERMITS MUST BE IN PLACE, AND THE PERMIT
APPLICATION PACKET UPDATED ACCORDINGLY, BEFORE ANY DISTURBANCE
ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLOM PIT BOX CUT IS ALLOWED TO OCCUR.
b. Please describe how the water will be used or discharged. (i.e. Where will it be pumped
to? What are the anticipated impacts to the receiving drainage?)
CCC responded "Language has been inserted into Volume 15, Rule 2 which indicates
how Colowyo will utilize and/or discharge the dewatering water. Anticipated impacts
to receiving streams have been included in Volume 15, Rule 2." CCC have stated, on
Page 112, that they will discharge to Collom Gulch and the West Fork of Jubb Creek,
with an approved CDPHE permit. This item is resolved with the following stipulation:
Stipulation 20: A DISCHARGE PERMIT FOR WATER PUMPED FROM DEWATERING
WELLS MUST BE IN PLACE, AND THE PERMIT APPLICATION PACKET UPDATED
ACCORDINGLY, BEFORE ANY DISTURBANCE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLOM PIT BOX
CUT IS ALLOWED TO OCCUR.
c. Please propose monitoring points that will allow the drawdown cone adjacent to the pit
to be characterized during the dewatering and recovery phases of the operation, and
predictions made in the PHC to be verified.
CCC have described a plan in principle, on Page 111, which utilizes vibrating wire
piezometers placed in monitoring holes outside the perimeter dewatering wells which
will allow characterization of the drawdown cone. These points should be added to
the monitoring plan as and when they are constructed.
The response is sufficient.
d. This is related to item 1 in the initial adequacy review letter.
The response is sufficient.
Rule 2.06.8 — Alluvial Valley Floors
82.
