March 4,2016 C-1981-041/Roadside Portals BFB <br /> of erosion,rills or gullies. <br /> The reclaimed road along ditch D-D9 was scarified with ridges created by heavy equipment(photo 4). Although <br /> these ridges were not aligned with the contour,there were no signs of erosion,rills or gullies. <br /> The reclaimed road along ditches D-D 10 and D-D 11 was well vegetated with a mixture of grasses and shrubs <br /> (photo 5). There were no signs of erosion. <br /> The former pond 13 area was well vegetated with a mixture of grasses and shrubs (photo 6). There were no signs <br /> of erosion and the area appeared to be stable. <br /> The former pond 11 area was flooded last fall when Coal Creek overtopped its bank during a heavy rain event. <br /> Large sediment deposits were left on the reclaimed pond area covering most of the vegetation. The pond area was <br /> re-seeded and mulched last fall. Currently,the area has very little vegetation because there has not been a growing <br /> season since it was seeded(photo 7). The area appeared to be stable and there were no signs of erosion,rills or <br /> gullies. <br /> The former pond 6 area was well vegetated with a mixture of grasses, shrubs and Palmer penstemon(photo 8). <br /> There were no signs of erosion and the area appeared to be stable. <br /> The former pond 10 area was well vegetated with a mixture of grasses and shrubs (photo 9). There were no signs <br /> of erosion and the area appeared to be stable. The rock lined ditches also appeared to be stable. <br /> The area on top of CRDA-I was well vegetated with a mixture of grasses and shrubs (photo 10). There were no <br /> signs of erosion and the area appeared to be stable. The drainage ditch on the west side was also stable and the <br /> sediment waddles were in good condition. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> The disturbance boundary markers of the North Portal Area had not been moved since the approval of SL- <br /> 8 due to weather and ground conditions. Placement of the boundary markers to outline the new boundaries was <br /> discussed during this inspection. Ms. Hammond said she will work on moving the markers as the weather and <br /> ground conditions continue to improve. <br /> ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection,nor are any pending. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br />
