OPERATORS <br />SHOULD READ THE FOLLOWING PAGES CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE TERMS OF THE PERMIT AND APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS. If a <br />Possible Violation is indicated, you will be notified under separate cover as to when the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board will consider possible enforcement action. <br /> <br />INSPECTION TOPIC: Availability Of Records <br />PROBLEM/POSSIBLE VIOLATION: Problem: The Central Colorado Water Conservancy District is installing <br />infrastructure associated with the water storage facility in the East and West Pits. A pump station and the <br />associated infrastructure is being installed in the southwest corner of the East Pit. The approved Reclamation <br />plan indicates the pump station would be located in the northwest corner of the West pit. A spillway along the <br />boundary with the Cache La Poudre River has been constructed. The spillway will be used to transport water <br />from the river to the reservoirs. The spillway is not included in the approved Reclamation Plan. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: The Operator must submit a technical revision (TR) to update the Reclamation Plan to <br />revise the location of the pump station and include the other water storage facilities and structures in the plan. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION DUE DATE: 5/09/16 <br /> <br /> <br />OBSERVATIONS <br /> <br />The Geisert Pit was inspected by Peter Hays with the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />(Division/DRMS) as part of the Division’s monitoring inspection program. The site was previously inspected by <br />the Division on June 30, 2011. Ms. Valerie Mino with Weld County was present during the inspection. The <br />approved post mining land use is developed water resource. <br /> <br />Prior to the inspection, a Weld County representative updated the Division on the status of the site. According <br />to Weld County, mining is complete and the site is in final reclamation. Weld County is in the process of selling <br />the property to Central Colorado Water Conservancy District (CCWCD) for water storage. CCWCD was installing
