Harry Ranney of DRMS took the aerial
pictures on February 26,2016. Janet Binns of DRMS reviewed the pictures on March 1,2016.
The mine is a reclaimed surface mine. A solid snow pack covers the site. Some of the south facing slopes exhibit
thinner snowcover and patchiness.No mine personnel remain on site.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Stock Tank T-18 was frozen and snow covered. There was no sign of open water or animal tracks to this
stock tank. No problems were apparent in the drainage area.
Stock Tank T-20 was frozen and snow covered. There was a patch of open water below(west)of this stock tank.
From the angle of the photo, it is unclear if this is due to a seep, or discharge from the stock tank. This open water
appear to disappear under the snow into the drainage west of T-20.
Drainage 005-El is snow covered,but there is no evidence, at this time, of breaching or other concerns with this
drainage.
Drainage 005-Gulch is snow covered but shows no signs of pooling or breaching. At this point in time,there are
no concerns with this drainage.
Drainage 006-NE is snow covered but appears to be functional. The south facing slope on the north side of this
drainage has very patchy snow cover.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 7
