. 2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND
MINING ACTIVITIES _ MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND
RECLAMATION PLANS.
2.05.6 Mitigation of Surface Coal Mining Operation Impacts. (Cont'd.)
(3) (b) (iv)
The probable hydrologic consequences may be divided into surface water
and groundwater systems. The consequences may be further divided into
effects from mine facilities and the effects from subsidence. The effects will
be organized as follows:
1) Effect to surface water from mine facilities.
2) Effect to groundwater from mine facilities.
3) Effect to groundwater within the permit and adjacent areas.
4) Effect to surface water within the permit arid adjacent areas.
Surface Water Effects -Mine Site
Although the potential exists for increased sediment load due to erosion and
leaching from coal refuse, Division Rule 4.05.2 requires all surface flow to
pass through properly designed sediment control retention ponds. Prior to
any discharge from the mine site, effluent is
TR 96-028 125 Revised 4/27/98
TR-zg/ R/v-o 3
/tPPkov~D 1~-1~v~99
