February 23, 2016 C-1996-083/Bowie No. 2 Mine JDM <br />Ditches and culverts were partially covered with snow and were in stable condition throughout the mine site, with <br />no issues noted. <br />During the January 2016 inspection, ditch D -C4 located behind the stockpile conveyor above culvert C -C4 had <br />been covered with plowed snow. The plowed snow has been removed from the ditch to ensure functionality. This <br />maintenance item has been adequately addressed with no additional problems noted. <br />Cleared Ditch D -C4 <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Small combustion events were observed on both coal stockpiles with Bowie Resources personnel actively <br />addressing during the inspection. No potential for spreading of the small fires was evident during the inspection. <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br />C-'-], %1P 441 <br />Gob Pile #1 has been inactive. Technical Revision No. 97 was approved and provides a variance from the <br />requirement of Rule 4.10.4(4) for 0.2 acres of Gob Pile #1 where the slope was identified as being greater than 2:1. <br />Gob Pile #1 was partially snow covered. <br />Gob Pile #2 <br />Gob Pile #2 was partially snow covered. No activities were on-going during the inspection due to the weather and <br />wet conditions of the pile. Small temporary 6" diameter pipes were placed at ponding areas in order to drain any <br />ponded water.
