The other pond drawings will also be <br />submitted at this time. <br />Please update table 4.8.7 with design specifications for all of the ponds. <br />Trapper Response: As indicated in the response above, Trapper is still working on this <br />information and will submit it at a later date. <br />2.05.5 Post Mining Land Use <br />Map M46 depicts the post mine land uses approved for the permit area. This map appears to <br />include three sheets, however the Division's hard copy and electronic copy only include Sheet 1. <br />The Division could not locate Sheets 2 and 3. In accordance with Rule 2.05.5(1)(c), please submit <br />hard copies of these maps. <br />Trapper Response: Map M46 includes only one sheet. Prior to Permit Revision 4, Map M46 <br />included two sheets. There are no cropland areas in the sheets 2 and 3 areas of the 400 scale <br />base map. <br />2.05.6 Mitigation of Impacts of Mining Operations <br />A prairie falcon nest site and buffer zone is depicted on Map M25A of the permit. Map M25A <br />is out of date and needs to be updated. Page 4-161 discusses the prairie falcon nest site and <br />needs to be updated for the current permit term. Trapper should be aware that mining activities <br />planned for the next permit term appear to fall within the approved buffer zone for the nest site <br />and the surface activity may not occur within this area between March 1 and July 31st. <br />Trapper Response: Map M25A has been updated with the current mine perimeter and is enclosed. <br />Enclosed permit page 4-161 is updated to the current permit term. <br />2.06 Special Categories of Mining <br />Appendix H includes a document titled, "A Review of Potential Alluvial Valley Floors <br />Associated with Utah International Inc's Trapper Mine in Northwest Colorado and Probable <br />Impacts" by McBride and Krishnamurthi dated April 1980. The Division's copy of this document <br />ends on page 44. However, it appears there should be more pages associated with this <br />document; portions of Section 6.2 and 7 of the document are missing. Please submit the <br />additional pages associated with this document. <br />Trapper Response: The copy contained in Trapper's permit contains three additional pages, they <br />have been included.for your use. <br />4.05 Hydrologic Balance 4.05.2 <br />Please update Table 4.8-6. East and West Buzzard ponds should be removed from the Table. <br />Trapper Response: The version of Table 4.8-6 in Trapper's permit document does not include <br />East and West Buzzard ponds. Our copy was revised with TR -92 in 2003. The current page has <br />been included. <br />
