Trapper Mining Inc., TR -115
Page 14
vibration, if large enough, might affect the sandstone upon which the petroglyphs are painted.
The Division requested that Trapper submit a technical revision to update the following
information:
1.) Revise sections 2.9 and 4.1 of the permit to indicate the site is located within the
permit boundary.
2.) Revise permit section 2.9 to indicate the correct location of the site and to note the
error of the location cited in the cultural resource report included in Appendix K for this
site.
3.) Revise permit section 4.1 to indicate how far the site will be from the projected
mining disturbance.
4.) Evaluate whether the mining setback from the site is far enough away from blasting,
and given the expected sizes of the blasts, that the site won't be affected. Once this is
completed, please revise sections 2.9 and 4.1 of the permit to include the results of this
evaluation. In accordance with Rule 2.05.6(4), if additional protective measures are
found to be necessary, please discuss them in the revised sections.
5.) Please update Map M45.
Trapper Response:
l.) Enclosed pages 2-590 and 4-3a are revised to indicate that site 5MF948 is located
inside the permit boundary but outside the proposed mine plan area.
2.) Enclosed page 2-590 is revised to indicate that the location for site 5MF948 given in
Appendix K, Part VIII is incorrect. The correct coordinates are now given on this
page.
3.) Page 4-3a is revised with a corrected distance to the site from the closest proposed
mining disturbance.
4.) Trapper is currently monitoring the site with a seismograph unit and will complete
our analysis of the effects of blasting in the spring of 2016 Preliminary findings
have shown minimal ground vibration at the site and impacts should be negligible.
5.) Map M45 will be forthcoming with a later Technical Revision when the
archeological survey for the PR -07 expansion area is submitted.
2.05.3 Operation Plan/Permit Area 2.05.3(4)
The Division was unable to locate as -built drawings for the ponds listed below. Please
indicate where these can be found or provide drawings conforming to the standards in
Rules 4.05.6 and 4.05.9
■ East Pyeatt #3
■ Middle Pyeatt #1, #2, #3
■ Ute
■ Johnson #6, #7R, #8, #9R, #1011
■ No Name #2, #4, #511
Trapper Response: As -built drawings for East Pyeatt #3 are included in Appendix Q. Originally
ponds #1 and #3 were constructed in East Pyeatt as number 1 and 2. Later pond #2 was added
between them and they were renumbered #1, #2, and #3. All three ponds have designs within
their respective section of Appendix Q. However, a new drawing for these ponds will be
