Our review indicates the Modification Application contains
deficiencies as defined by Rule 5.1.3 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations. The
Division requires the information described below before we can approve the Modification
Application.
1. The Applicant has included surface drilling under the modification application. However, the
Applicant has not identified the surface drilling locations. In order to approve the proposed
activities, the Applicant must specify the locations where surface drilling will be conducted.
In addition, the Division will require the Applicant to post a financial warranty to cover the
cost of properly abandoning the drill holes. Please respond.
2. The Applicant has identified surface sampling and trenching as additions to the approved
prospecting activities. Please provide additional detail regarding the surface sampling and
trenching activities including:
a. Location of surface sampling/trenching (include a 7.5 minute quadrangle that
identifies all drill hole locations, excavations, and trenches)
b. Dimensions of trenches
c. Reclamation measures for reclaiming sampling/trenching locations
of c
e
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us ( * o
John W.
