Tabetha Lynch, DRMS
Page 4
February 17, 2016
There is a discrepancy with the Roads Map, Map 27. Map 27 in Laserfiche is different than the hard copy
Map 27 in the permit. The map in Laserfiche is dated later and is likely the correct map. Section 2.05
discusses roads beginning on page 2.05-14.1, and reclamation of the roads is discussed on page 2.05-31.3.
The following adequacy review issues were noted:
• Page 2.05-14.1 cites Map 27A. The Division could not locate this map in our hard and
electronic copy of the permit. Please submit this map.
4.04 — Support Facilities
4.04(1)(a), 4.04(5) and 4.04(6)- No adequacy issues noted.
4.05.17 — Postminin and Rehabilitation of Sediment Ponds, Diversions, Impoundments, and
Treatment Facilities
Pond 9A -PI is the only permanent impoundment currently identified in the permit. The performance
standards discussed under this rule will apply before the permit area is abandoned.
MCM is considering making the wastewater treatment system permanent. If so, they must provide a
revision to the reclamation plan and obtain approval from the Division.
4.06 — Topsoil
No adequacy issues noted.
4.08- Explosives
No adequacy issues noted.
4.13 — Contemporaneous Reclamation
The mine is currently in temporary cessation. Rule 4.13 is a performance standard, should the operation
go into permanent cessation, MCM will need to comply with this regulation.
4.14 — Backfilling and Gradin
4.14.1—No adequacy review issues noted.
4.14.2- No adequacy review issues noted.
4.14.6- No adequacy review issues noted.
4.15 — Reve2etation
No adequacy review issues noted.
4.16 — Post Mining Land Use
No adequacy review issues noted.
4.18 — Protection of Fish, Wildlife, and Related Environmental Values
Please see the adequacy review issues noted in section 2.05.6 of this document
