RECEIVED
DEC 2 6 2006
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
EXHIBIT E: RECLAMATION PLAN
The original reclamation plan for the site called for, "... the establishment of two
stabilized lake shorelines with vegetation along the banks." This amendment, at the
request of the landowner, proposes to backfill the majority of the pit with wash fines,
overburden, and other inert materials ("Fill") from nearby sand and gravel operations. An
unfilled area in the northwest of the property will be utilized for storm water drainage and
detention. The area designated for wash fines will be contained within a bermed
boundary to prevent this fill from washing into this detention pond. The upland portion
of the property will be reclaimed as wildlife habitat with the same planting requirements
as previously approved.
The Fill material will be compacted to the level required under MLRB Regulation
3.1.5(2) to provide stability and prevent leaching of toxic or acid forming materials in
connection with the authorized use selected by Lafarge West, Inc.
No other changes to the reclamation plan are being made with this amendment.
