6.3.4 Exhibit D— Reclamation Plan
(a) Replacing Overburden and replacement depth.
• It's estimated that no more than 30' to length of trench opened at any given time before
replacement of all materials including top soil and replanting. The constraining factor is
holding capacity of plate steel waste rock holding container.
• Maximum time from removal of material until replacement will not exceed 180 days
except during winter months.
(b) Maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes
• Slopes can exceed 3:1 horizontal to vertical angles due to this being mountainous terrain.
Terrain is Forestry and will remain for Forestry use after post-mining operations. Areas of
disturbance reclaimed, hydromulched using recommended seed mixtures then utilized as a
fire break. Due to angles it may be required to also utilize erosion nets in a few limited
areas as best practice. Material for erosion control is Jute Netting and secured by non-
treated wooden stakes or equivalent. According to a manufacturer: Jute Net is fully
biodegradable in 2 to 3 years depending on soil and weather conditions.
• Information acquired from U.S.D.A. Soil Survey website:
o Bullwark family and similar soils: 50 percent
o Catamount family and similar soils: 25 percent
o Rock outcrop: 15 percent
o 0— 1 inches: slightly decomposed plant material
o 0 to 6 inches: very stony sandy loam
o 6 to 11 inches: extremely stony sandy loam
o 11 to 17 inches: extremely stony sandy loam
o 17 to 26 inches: bedrock
(c) Specify measures that will be taken to revegetate site
• Best practices used to store and reuse all collected top soils. If additional top soil is
required during reclamation then a grizzly screen would be utilized to remove rocks from
stony sandy loam. The screened sandy loam would be used for any additional / required
top soil.
Teton Drilling Inc.
Dixie Mine-Clear Creek County,CO
Updated Revisions—February 4,2016
Page I11
