(i) No groundwater will be encountered except when receiving rainfall or
melting snow. All areas probable to runoff will be lined with:
1. Hay Bales See Exhibit E Map 1.
(j) Specify how you will comply with applicable Colorado water laws and
regulations governing injury to existing water rights.
• Water for closed circuit mining operation will be brought into operation and purchased
from City of Idaho Springs.
• Operation will not encounter any water except during rainfall and snow melt. Erosion and
sediment control through:
1. Hay Bales See Figure E and Diagram 2.
(k) Results from Huffman Labs provided below show no acid or toxic
producing materials would be encountered during the surface trenching
process.
Note: The only negative (-I) ABP from top soil sample is caused by decaying pine needles and
related ground media. Attached is Illustration 3 that provides location and depth of samples taken
for Huffman Labs test.
Huffman Client S,% S,% S,% S,% S,% C,% AGP NP ABP
Sample No. Sample No. HCI insol
pHNO,insoltotal "sulfate" "pyritic" carbonate CaCO3g/kg CaCO3B/kg CaCO3BAcg
124915-01/133015-01 1 0.02 NA 0.04 0.02 NA <0.02 -0.6 0.0 -1
124915-02/133015-02 2 <0.01 NA 0.29 0.29 NA <0.02 0.0 0.0 0
124915-03/133015-03 3 <0.01 NA 0.20 0.20 NA <0.02 0.0 0.0 0
124915-04/133015-04 4 <0.01 NA 0.06 0.06 NA <0.02 0.0 0.0 0
124915-05/133015-05 5 <0.01 NA 0.05 0.05 NA <0.02 0.0 0.0 0
Samples were received as coarse ground material and splits were reground to nominal-200 mesh(<75 urn)prior to analysis.
Analyses were performed in duplicate with averages reported.
