2015 Weed, Pest and Disease Inspection
During my inspections and quantitative vegetation sampling of the site in 2015 I did not identify
any disease conditions at any of the reclaimed or revegetated areas within the coal mine permit
area. I did not identify any plant pests which had affected the growth of the vegetation during
the 2015 growing season. No areas which experienced any infestation or blight were found
during the inspections. No patches of noxious weed species were observed, nor were any areas
observed where weeds, plant pests, or disease showed a deleterious effect to the live vegetation.
Scattered individual weed plants were encountered within the mine permit boundary
(predominantly musk thistle). Oakridge Energy contracted for spraying of scattered noxious
weeds in 2015 at the coal mine site. The most recent spraying took place during the late summer
of 2015.
f). Permanent revegetation as described in the mining and reclamation plan has occurred at the
Carbon Junction Mine at all disturbed areas of the mine slated for revegetation.
Additional Information
Permit Revision 01 was submitted to CDRMS on September 30, 2014 and found complete
October 9, 2014. CDRMS provided adequacy comments on the application and Oakridge
Energy revised text and maps under the permit revision. CDRMS approved the revision and the
approval became final on September 15, 2015. The permit revision addresses retained
reclamation features, a revised post -mining land use, and revegetation standards for the coal
permit.
Minor Revision 08 revised surface ownership and right of entry information with the sale of the
Oakridge Energy Ewing Mesa property. MR 08 was approved June 6, 2015.
Minor Revision 09 revised the permits surface and mineral ownership map to reflect to sale of
Oakridge Energy's Ewing Mesa property. MR 09 was approved September 29, 2105.
Minor Revision 10 was submitted October 30, 2015 and approved November 20, 2015. This
minor revision changed permit maps to better represent the coal permit boundary and
reclamation features.
2015 Carbon Junction Mine Annual Reclamation Report Page 2
CDRM5 Permit C-92-080
