January 26, 2016 C-1982-057/Seneca II-W Mine JHB

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2

Pond 016 was frozen and snow covered. Drainage PM-3 east of the Spring is snow covered. The Spoil spring is
flowing in PM-2 as noted by the open channel. The flow appear to be confined to the PM-2 channel, as designed.

ROADS – Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3)
Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4)
Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
Roads throughout the reclaimed mine are not plowed. Snow machine tracks can been seen in some parts
of the mine. (south of Pond 16)

SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12:
Considerable snow cornices have formed on the lee side of the ridge on the east side of the permit area.
A deep snow drift has formed on the lee side of the snow fence. The drift appears to extend to the east
approximately twice the height of the fence. In spite of the effectiveness of the snow fence at the top of the ridge,
there is still a large drift that has formed in the PM-4 drainage. No problems are observable in this area at this
time of winter.

SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04:
No activity is apparent at the warehouse area. The mine access road has not been plowed where it
branches south from the oil well access road.

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER (SPECIFY) NA
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE

No enforcement actions were taken as a result of this inspection, nor is there cause to believe that
a ground inspection is immediately necessary.
