MANAGEMENT
January 28, 2016
Clayton Wein
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: C. B. Minerals Company, LLC
Annual Reclamation Report
Permit No. C-1984-065
Dear Mr. Wein:
Enclosed is C. B. Minerals Company's 2015 Annual Reclamation Report for its Coal Ridge No. 1
Mine as required by Rule 2.04.13.
During the year, the sediment pond was reclaimed. Construction activities began in October and
were complete by the end of November. Sediment pond reclamation included backfilling and
grading, topsoiling and seeding (1.9 acres), and grading, topsoiling and seeding two stockpile areas
(2.5 acres), for a total acreage of 4.4 acres. All of these areas are permanent seeding areas and
are shown on the attached reclamation map.
A portion of the road (0.38 acres) on the lower terrace and two drainage ditches (0.66) were re-
disturbed during reclamation and are shown on the attached map. Both areas were graded and
seeded at the completion of reclamation.
An area to the east of the borrow area was re-disturbed (0.65 acres)during its usage as a temporary
topsoil stockpile. This area was re-seeded after the reclamation was complete.
A survey will be done this year to document reclamation activities. If necessary, acreages will be
revised on the 2016 ARR to reflect actual reclaimed areas.
Two different seed types were utilized during reclamation a cropland seed mix and a pasture/wildlife
mix. The seed tags are attached.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Tamme Bishop, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
