Table 14-1 Notes:
Permanent Flood Control Dike -Volumes and area taken fom TR-02 proposed design. Material borrowed from asand/gravel bar in
the Colorado River.
South Lease Exploration -Volumes assumed using 1 'oftopsoil salvaged and replaced on all roads and pads disturbed. Actual
volumes unknown. Areas taken from TR-04 and MR-10 design for the project.
North Decline -Volumes taken from calculations for contractor payment. Areas were taken from measurements on topo maps.
Roadside South Portals -Remaining cut and fiN volumes were calculated with the use of digital maps of existing and post mining
topography and SurvCADD 2006. See Exhibit 6C for Post Mining Topography. Difference between cut & fill is 29,000 CY. Deficit will
be made up with material from the Unit Train Loadout.
RSRDA -The Cut Volume is the amount of refuse excavated to create the two 15-foot wide benches. Fill volume includes the cut
volume and the volume of cover material placed on the slopes. The RSRDA slopes cover volume includes dirt on the pile that wes
moved to allow installation of benches on the upper part of the pile. The RSRDA topsoil volume represents the amount oftopsoil to
be salvaged and replaced in the borrowarea.
Overland Conveyor and Railroad Spur -The cut and fill volume and area were taken from 1982 reclamation estimates and include
grading out the road and track bed as well as filling the holes at the transfers. The topsoil estimate represents the wlume of the
existing stockpile. This volume will cover a 2400' stretch of the road and railroad 80' wide with 6" oftopsoil and 4000' of conveyor 40'
wide with 6" oftopsoil.
Unit Train Loadout -The areas were measured on topo maps. The volumes were calculated using average end areas' on cross
section on 100' centers. See Ektibit 59 for the cross sections and the approzmate cut and fill areas of each. Quantity reduced by
36,000 CY to account for deficit at Road Side South Portal.
Roadside North Portal -The areas were measured on topo maps. Sur,CADD was used to calculate the cut and fill volumes with the
use of digital maps of existing and post mining topography. See Exhibit 8C for Post Mining Topography. The topsoil volume was
calculated assuming 6" over the measured area. The volume of material required to reclaim pond 13 wes calculated from digital topo
maps and it will be borrowed from Topsoil Pile Number 1.
Table 14-1 Page 2 of 3 .07/06
