Solid Waste Disposal <br />All solid waste (non-coal wastes), e.g., lumber, unusable machinery, and waste building <br />materials, was removed from the mine site and disposed of in an approved land fill or <br />recycling facility. <br />Mine Openings <br />There wereno mine openings that require sealing. All known exploration holes were <br />plugged in accordance with 4.07. All water or monitoringwells werecappedorplugged <br />in accordance with 4.07 or destroyed during miningor reclamation.The following water <br />monitoring or water supply wells were originally drilled for the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />Their current status is as follows: <br />Well PW1 (AKA 82-4)-Information regarding the drilling and completion of this well <br />Appendix 4- <br />(as documented by applications to DWR and drillers reports) is contained in <br />3 <br />. This well was permitted through the State Engineer’s Office as an industrial water <br />supply well.
