The Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) has no accounts of Federally-listed
plant species in the area(CNHP 2008).
Areas with the potential to include wetlands, such as in the riparian corridors northwest of the
Lafarge Brown property, were mapped during the survey. The Corps of Engineers uses three
indicators when making wetland determinations: vegetation, soil, and hydrology. To be considered
a wetland, all three indicators must be present. The areas mapped during the survey were based
solely on vegetation, therefore the extent of the area was maximized and includes all potential Corp
of Engineer wetlands. If development were to encroach on the mapped wetland areas, B&A would
recommend a comprehensive wetland delineation to determine the exact extent of the wetland
according to all three indicators.
Greeley 35`h Avenue Mine(M-1977-036)
DRMS 112 Reclamation Permit Amendment Application
Page J2 of JS
