a. Section 2.05.6(3) entitled Protection of Hydrologic Balance and the associated attachments in
the permit.
b. Maps 2.04.7-1 and 2.04.7-1A, Stream Monitoring Locations.
C. Hydrologic Monitoring Plan (as per TR68) in section 2.05.6 of the permit.
Rule 4.17 Air Resource Protection
This is a review of how surfaces are stabilized and protected from wind erosion and attendant air
pollution.
The Division finds that the proposed activities will not materially damage the air quality or
cause erosion as per Rules 4.17, and that procedures outlined in Section 2.05.6(3) adequately
address surface stabilization.
Rule 4.24 Alluvial Valley Floors
This is a review of the environmental protection performance of mining operations affecting alluvial
valley floors and the standards to preserve hydrologic functions, agricultural uses and productivity of
alluvial valley floors.
DRMS concludes that no alluvial valley floors have been identified in the permit. This rule therefore
does not apply. Proposed activities will not materially damage the quantity or quality of water in
the surface water system as per Rules 4.24 and 2.06.8(5)(a)(ii).
New Horizon Mid Term Review Prepared by: R.
