addressed under the Reclamation Plan. In addition, the financial warranty will include a
component for stabilization and revegetation of this area. In order for the Division to approve
this activity, the following information must be provided:
a) Specify the timing of creating the fire break.
b) Specify how the area will be stabilized to prevent erosion.
c) Specify how the area will be revegetated.
d) Specify the timing of reclamation on this area.
e) Specify the dimensions and gradient of the fire break.
19. The Existing Disturbances Map states there are previous disturbances consisting of shafts,
closed adits and tailings. As required by Rule 6.3.5(2)(f), please revise the map so that the
existing disturbances are outlined.
20. The Reclamation Plan Map states that the total area requiring reclamation is estimated to be
1.0 acres. However, Exhibit E — Map 1 states the total area requiring reclamation is estimated
to be 1.1 acres. Please clarify this discrepancy and revise the appropriate map accordingly.
Also, please see additional comments under Item No. 18 in regards to areas requiring
reclamation.
21. The Reclamation Plan Map does not include an outlined and labeled permit boundary.
Pursuant to Rule 6.2.1(2), maps must identify and outline the permit boundary. Please
provide a Reclamation Plan Map with an outlined and labeled permit boundary.
22. The Applicant has provided several maps to depict the required information for the Mining
Plan Map. At least one Mining Plan Map must include an outlined and labeled permit
boundary with all the major components of the mining operation outlined and labeled. This
would include the access road, the trench, stockpiles and processing area. Please revise one
of the Mining Plan Maps to include the above listed elements. Also, please see additional
comments under Item No. 16.
6.3.6 Exhibit F — List of Other Permits and Licenses Required
23. The Applicant has indicated they are working with the Water Quality Control Division to
determine if a stormwater discharge permit is needed. Please commit to following their
recommendations and provide the Division with a copy of the stormwater discharge permit if
it is required. Please see additional comments under Item No. 3.
24. The Applicant has indicated they are working with Clear Creek County to determine the
design standards for the access road. Please commit to following Clear Creek County
requirements for the construction of the access road. Since the access road is considered to be
affected area, the design details must be a component of the Reclamation Permit. The
Division may issue a Reclamation Permit independent of other agencies approvals.
