Compliance With Mine Plan - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NN <br /> - Other - Special Categories Of Mining <br />NR <br /> - Processing Waste - Topsoil <br /> <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />This was a partial inspection of the New Horizon North Mine conducted by Brock Bowles of the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The weather conditions were cloudy and cool. The temperature was <br />approximately 65 degrees and the ground conditions were damp. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Pond 1 ditches were walked from the east entrance south to Pond 001. Then from Pond 001 to where <br />the west ditch meets with the Pond 002 west ditch. All sections of the Pond 001 ditches were in good condition <br />(photo 1). <br />Pond 001 contained water but was not discharging. The primary (photo 2) and emergency spillways were free and <br />clear of obstructions. <br />Pond 002 did not contain water. <br />REVEGETATION Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The Pond 001 embankment has vegetation starting to establish (photo 3). Rabbitbrush is the dominant <br />species.
