3.2 - Non -Structural Practices <br />Non-structural BM Ps at the site will consist of preservation of existing vegetation adjacent to the <br />exterior boundary of the area of mining operations (pond footprint areas) .A11 stonnwaters to the active <br />operations area which will be fully contained by the pond arca. The ultimate reclamation for the disturbed <br />area is for developed water resource, pasture and wildlife habitat improvements. (IRMPs consisting of <br />sediment retention berms, haul road ditches, and silt fences will he utilized to limit any stormwater <br />impacts.) <br />3.3 - Materials Handling and Spill Prevention <br />Standard procedures will be utilized in storing and handling fuels (or any chemicals/fertilizers <br />etc...) to minimize the potential for contact with stormwater and potential runoff into adjacent areas. Such <br />procedures may include perming and lining around fueling and storage areas. Bags of fertilizer or other <br />chemicals will be stored on pallets off the ground and will he covered or tarped as necessary prior to use on <br />the site. Storage areas will he kept away from traffic patterns and drainageways. Adequate signage will be <br />used for tanks, storage containers and the like. in the event of an accidental spill at the site or on haul <br />roads, the appropriate authorities will be notified and the clean up of the spill will be initiated immediately. <br />Existing clean soils in the vicinity of the spill that may be contaminated from such a spill will be removed <br />for proper disposal and the contaminated soils will he replaced with additional clean soil and revegetated, <br />as necessary <br />WestWater Engineering APPENDIX C - 28 July 2012 <br />
