Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc.
October 13, 2014
All Seasons Concrete was asked to organize their storage site, specifically to place
their drums of form oil on pallets and to place their trash in an enclosed trash
receptacle in lieu of empty drums. They will be relocating their storage site within
the next 2 years to make room for the mining of Cell 20.
Scrap steel that has been stockpiled on site was inventoried for removal or for reuse.
Any item marked for reuse will be relocated within the industrial plant area. The
remaining scrap steel will be removed as the mining of Cell 20 moves west.
See the attached Service agreement from Gallegos Sanitation and photos.
Problem/Possible Violation: State -listed noxious weeds (knapweed, cheat grass,
bindweed, tamarisk, Russian olives) on site.
Corrective Action: Attached invoices from McCrary and Sons show that weed
mowing had been occurring throughout the summer, and that fall mowing had
started on 9/10/2015. Attached estimate from Aggie Environmental shows pricing
for fall seeding at newly repaired Cell 18. Attached estimate for mowing from Aggie
Environmental was requested when it was discovered McCrary and Sons would not
be able to complete the fall mowing. Attached invoice from Aggie Environmental
dated 9/25/2015 is for mowing problem areas identified during inspection.
Attached invoices from Aggie Environmental, and Blue Mountain Seeding show
seeding that has occurred after 2010 inspection as part of the ongoing reclamation
process. Attached Loveland Ready Mix Profit and Loss Statement shows that LRM
has spent over $580,000 on flood repairs and reclamation after the 2013 flood.
The attached weed control plan from August Services, along with invoices,
documents the weed control management and specific control measures that have
been applied since the 2010 inspection. This weed control plan also provides a
schedule for future control measures and monitoring, and is specific for each noxious
plant.
Problem/Possible Violation: Missing boundary markers
Corrective Action: Landmark Engineering placed stakes at the southern boundary of
the permit area along with stakes locating the area included in AM03. T posts were
placed at corners and strategic areas with no trespassing signs. Photos are attached.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please advise.
Sincerely,
cc_`
Stephanie Fancher
Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, Inc.
Attachments
cc: file
