For each item, the adequacy review issue is noted <br />along with the permittee's response. If the item is resolved, I have indicated this. If additional <br />information or revision is needed, that is included in my discussion. Please let me know if you have any <br />questions. <br />2.06.8 — Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Operations on Areas, or Adjacent to Areas, <br />Including Alluvial Valley Floors <br />1.) According to page 5 of section 2.6.8 of the permit, Map 2.06.8-1; "Potential Alluvial Valley Floors <br />in the Vicinity of the NHN Mine" is included in the permit. The Division could not locate this map <br />in the permit documents. Please submit Map 2.06.8-1. <br />a. Tristate Response: Map 2.06.8-1 has been included with this submittal. <br />b. DRMS Response: Item resolved. <br />4.05.18(1)— Stream Buffer Zones <br />1.) It is unclear what specific disturbances will occur within stream buffer zones. In the Stream Buffer <br />Zones portion of section 2.05.6(3) of the permit, the operator must clarify what specific disturbances <br />will occur within these zones. Also, any language not limiting the disturbances to those specifically <br />identified should be removed from this section of the permit. <br />a. Tristate response: A description of what specific disturbances will occur within stream <br />buffer zones has been provided in section 4.05.18. <br />b. DRMS Response: The permittee proposes two disturbances within the stream buffer zone <br />of Meehan draw, the NHN-003 South ditch and a temporary stream crossing within Meehan <br />draw.
