thought to be in error because the DSSUM value indicates that the TDS is too low.
The 1986 value shows essentially no change from past values. The U aquifer is also
monitored in well GZ2, which is approximately one mile upgradient of U well GF2. A
steady concentration in well GZ2 has been observed. (see Figure 4.8-33). The
December, 1982 measurement for TDS is thought to be too low because the DSSUM value
indicates the TDS should be close to the other values. TDS was significantly higher
at this upgradient well than it is at well GF2.
The U aquifer well (GF2) at this site contains water with a pH of
approximately 8.5, while the pH of water from U aquifer well GZ2 has generally been
between 6.5 and 7.
SAR values above 30 are seen at well GF2. The SAR values for GF2 could create
a problem for irrigation of tight soils. The SAR values from well GZ2 have been low
(less than 1).
QR AQUIFER
Figure 4.8-34 presents the TDS plot for well GA1. Concentrations of TDS in
water from the QR aquifer in this area have been fairly steady since 1974, at a
concentration of approximately 800 mg/l. Two of the TDS measurements are outliers
and are likely erroneous.
Well GE1 is used to monitor the QR aquifer (see Figure 4.8-35). TDS
concentrations for the QR aquifer in this area have been fairly steady with time
with no significant trends. Well GD2 is completed in the QR aquifer below the
4-233 x REVISED FFR 13'87
