for 1985 and 1986 compare well with values in 1975-1977 when the well was
consistently used.
Figure 4.8-31 shows a steady TDS concentration plot for well GF1, a Twentymile
Sandstone well. TDS concentrations for this well have not varied as the Twentymile
at well GD1 has. A fairly steady concentration would be expected of a deep aquifer
as the Twentymile Sandstone. The concentration plot from well GF1 is thought to be
more typical of this aquifer. The TDS value for December of 1982 is thought to be a
lab error because the DSSUM indicates a TDS similar to the remainder of the values.
Twentymile Sandstone well GD1 had a significant increase in pH in 1984. Field
pH values are presently back to levels that are expected and that were present for
i
the first several years from this well. The recent
pH values
are thought to be more
representative of the aquifer water because well GD1
has been
pumped consistently in
the last two years. Twentymile Sandstone well GF1 generally contains water with a
pH near neutral.
SAR values for the Twentymile Sandstone water from well GD1 has had variable
SAR values from 0.5 to 4.5. A trend of these values does not exist but some of the
variation could have been affected by the length of pumping prior to sampling. SAR
has generally been below 1 for well GF1.
U AQUIFER
The TDS for well GF2 has also been steady (see Figure 4.8-32). This well is
completed in the U aquifer below the R coal seam. The December, 1982 value is
•
4-233w REVISED- FOk 13'00-17
