slopes are all currently well stabilized with vegetation. i he majority of this pits slopes were at
approximately L:1. Due to the close proximity to the permit boundary and access roads Backfilling will
Be required rather than cut and fill, apprUAimately 1800 ft of required fill.
Pit y
The slopes to the north and east are properly graded to a 3:1 or less. i he portions of bank to the south
adjacent to the road is will require some, egrading. Approximately 800 tt of the 1200 ft log % bank are
properly sloped. The 500 ft of the bank that require grading is at approximately a 2:1 slope. This bank
will require backfilling to leave the access road intact. The western bank is approAmately 400 tt long and
nearly vertical. The west bank can be cut and till to obtain the final 3:1 slope.
Pit 10
All of pit 10 is properly sloped to a S:1 or less. Seeding and volunteer species have established well.
Pit 11
Staff wa., unable inspect pit 11, per previous inspection reclamation is complete. Prior to release staff
will inspect for proper sloping.
Additional comments and observations:
In di-,cosions with Jon Muller the operator may decrease their final pond configuration due to excess
naturals that will remain. i he operator has adequate water rights to complete the prescribed
reclamation plan. However it will be cheaper for them to backfill surplus material than haul away or
attempt to sell.
If pond configurations stay similar to current site conditions the operator will need a i R. Current
reclamation plan calls for a total of 6 ponds with slightly different sizes and shapes than the 11 as -built
ponds.
Structures for removal. Office building 50' n 3U' n 10'.
