September 16, 2015 C-1981-025/North Thompson Creek Mine CCW <br />- Pond T-1 was holding water and discharging to Pond T-2 at the time of the inspection. T-1 is well vegetated and <br />the embankments looked stable. (Photo 3) <br />- Pond T-2 was observed holding water and discharging into the ditch to Pond P9. P9 is well vegetated and the <br />embankment look stable. The ditch between T-2 and P9 was stable and functioning as designed. (Photo 4) <br />- Pond P9 was holding water and discharging out of its primary spillway at the time of the inspection. The pond is <br />well vegetated and the embankment looked stable. (Photo 5) <br />- The ditch from P9 to the Refuse Pond is well vegetated and the embankments contained the water flowing from <br />P9. <br />- The Refuse Pond was holding a small amount of water during the inspection. There was no discharge. The <br />Refuse Pond is well vegetated and the embankment was stable. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The Road at the site was in good condition during the inspection. There were a few areas that held a small <br />amount of water from precipitation earlier in the day. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS — Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The vegetation at the site was doing well due to the wet spring this year. Thistle was observed in areas <br />throughout the site. (Photo 6) Please spray for these this fall. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The mine identification and surface disturbance makers were identified during the inspection. The gate <br />holding the mine and permit identification signs is damaged. The signs need to be posted on polls or the gate <br />needs to be repaired so the signs can be clearly seen.
