Skies were partly cloudy as alight rain had fallen just prior to this inspection. Temperatures rose
to 65 degrees F.
The tour focused on the permit boundary, demarcated with t posts and signs, as well as identifying what is inside and
outside the inspectable boundary.
Vegetation sampling took place in summer 2015. Each reclaimed area with the exception of the drill pad was
sampled using a proportional sampling method by acreage.
Records were inspected at Goff Engineering.
PERMITTING UPDATE:
Outstanding Issues:
Permitting
To reflect recent (April 2015) change of ownership the surface and mineral ownership map will be updated
with an overlay label. MR 09 was received in the DMRS office on 11 September 2015 to implement the map
change, and found complete 21 September 2015.
To reflect actual permit boundary of 2015 an updated map (Reclaimed Features, Post Mining Land Uses and
Reference Area) omitting the Ewing Mesa Pit (EMP) should be submitted to DRMS. The EMP should be
shown as a donut hole without any topographic features, (Photol5).
Inspection
Gullying along Boundary Road near secondary drainage continues to be problematic.
Boundary markers and February 2015 map seem to indicate boundary or jurisdictional
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 15
