Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS: 1) Earthworks A) VLF (PSSA, Phase 1, and 2) Structural Fill: The following Structural Fill haul to fill and grading activities occurred: Cat 740 haul trucks removed spoils from final subgrade preparation in the vicinity of stations H4+00 to H5+00. The Structural Fill material was stockpiled near station F26+00. Cat dozers placed cut to fill between stations J2+00 to J4+00, H22+00 to H28+00 and F22+00 to F28+00. Cat smooth drum rollers compacted subgrade downslope from stations D4+00 to D6+00, between stations H0+00 to H2+00 and in the vicinity of stations F6+00 to H2+00. A Cat dozer finish graded subgrade between stations F6+00 to F8+00. Cat smooth drum rollers compacted the subgrade in this area. CC&V hauled material to the Dump 4 surge in Phase 2 using Cat 793 haul trucks. A Cat dozer placed the Structural Fill between stations N20+00 and N22+00. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the fill area. All of the above Structural Fill material was placed, compacted, and graded per the project plans and specifications.
