As per the letter from State Historic Preservation Officer Nichols, should human remains or <br />historic cultural artifacts of any kind be discovered on the quarry site, Stone Wholesale will follow <br />the requirements under state law C.R.S. 24-80 (part 13). Stone Wholesale acknowledges the <br />conditions of approval noted on the Colorado Division of Water Resources that we don't <br />anticipate exposing groundwater during or after mining operations and the mine will consume <br />surface water by evaporation. <br />2. Receipts of public notice by certified mail are on a separate sheet in the packet. <br />3. An original of the replacement Performance Warranty is in the packet. <br />4. Exhibit A. is included in the packet. Northeast X of the northeast X of Section 24, Township 8 <br />North, Range 70 West of the 6 1 PM, County of Larimer, State of Colorado. <br />S. A new Exhibit C Pre -mining and Mining Plan Map of Affected Lands has been sent to you. <br />6. The new map includes the whole of the 46.18 acres of affected land including the 3.03 acre <br />amendment No.1. <br />7. The existing topography of the quarry is on the new map. <br />8. The new map does depict the proposed earthen berm. <br />9. The new map depicts all power and communication lines on the amendment area. <br />10. The new map depicts all of the hauls roads and the overburden stockpiles located north of the <br />Poudre Valley Canal. <br />11. The new map depicts all stormwater retention basins. <br />12. The new map accurately names the canal on the east side of the amendment area as the Poudre <br />Valley Canal. <br />13. The mining plan has been revised to describe the dip and strike of the Brownstone formation. The <br />mining plan also states the mining floor will follow the dip of the Brownstone formation. The new <br />mining plan map now has a cross-section of the dip and strike of the Brownstone formation. <br />14. The new mining plan describes the walls of the quarry as being vertical in 75' X 75' sections. The <br />Brownstone formation walls will be vertical however the overburden walls will be approximately 2 <br />to 1 slopes. <br />15. Stormwater will be pumped out of the quarry retention basins if it does not absorb into the <br />ground within 72 hours. The pumping crew will direct the water to the existing drainage routes <br />which lead to either the Poudre Valley Canal or the Larimer County Canal. These canals have been <br />the recipient of runoff water since they were built around 1900.
