There is no woody plant density revegetation success standard. <br />Species Composition <br />Species composition will consist of at least three perennial species having greater <br />than 2% relative cover, but none greater than 45% relative cover. The three <br />perennial species will consist of two cool season grasses and one forb. <br />XII. Post -Minim Land Use — Rule 4.16 <br />A. The Division has approved alternative post -mining land uses of dryland pasture. The land - <br />uses meet the criteria of Rule 4.16.3. <br />XIII. Protection of Fish Wildlife and Related Environmental Values — Rule 4.18 <br />A. The applicant has proposed the use of persistent pesticides on the site during reclamation <br />operations. The Division proposes to approve this usage (4.18(4)(g)). <br />B. Fish and wildlife habitat is not a planned post -mining land use, however, the applicant has <br />selected appropriate plant species and distributions to benefit fish and wildlife (4.18(4)(i)). <br />XIV. Protection of Underground Minim — Rules 4.19 and 4.22 <br />There are no known underground mines within or adjacent to the permit area. <br />XV. Subsidence Control — Rule 4.20 <br />No underground mining activities were proposed or approved at the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />XVI. Concurrent Surface and Underground Minim — Rule 4.22 <br />No underground mining activities were proposed or approved at the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />XVII. Au eg r/Highwall Mining — Rule 4.23 <br />No auger mining or highwall activities have occurred at the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />XVIII. Operations on Alluvial Valley Floors — Rule 4.24 <br />A. The Division has determined that an alluvial valley floor exists within the affected or <br />adjacent area. Therefore, the following findings are in order for the alluvial valley floor <br />known as the Animas River Alluvial Valley Floor located outside the permit area on the <br />Animas River flowing through Durango, Colorado. <br />B. The Division found that activities proposed by the applicant will not interrupt, discontinue, <br />or preclude farming on the alluvial valley floors that are irrigated or naturally subirrigated <br />(4.24.3(1)). <br />C. The proposed activities will not materially damage the quantity or quality of water in the <br />surface or ground water system described above (4.24. 3(3) and 2. 06.8(5)(a)(ii)). <br />17 <br />
