July 17, 2015 C-1981-014/Southfield Mine RDZ <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />Reclamation of Substation 92 has been completed. At the substation location and the road leading to it, <br />vegetation is emerging and the area is well roughened. There is no sign of sediment loading off of these areas. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />Signs were seen at topsoil stockpiles and at the mine entrance. A sign was also seen on the west side of <br />the Plot B vegetation reference area. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Two topsoil stockpiles were observed: the one near the gravel parking lot in the facilities area and the one <br />at the northwest corner of the RDA. The vegetation was good except that a patch of Russian thistle covers a large <br />part of the pile at the facilities area. No erosion was seen, and signs were in place. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were taken as a result of this inspection.
