CRIPPLE CREEK & VICTOR GOLD MINING Co. �* <br />ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (COLORADO) amec <br />SQUAW GULCH (VLF) WEEKLY REPORT foster <br />wheeler <br />B) Underground Workings: <br />UG #6004 / UG #6313: Sandvik 700 & 800 track drills continued drilling blast pattern and the <br />workings were shot for geogrid. A Cat excavator prepared geogrid subgrade. <br />UG #6004: Step 4: First layer of geogrid installed. First 6" Select Structural Fill lift placed and <br />compacted per project plans and specifications. Further remediation required. <br />UG #6455 / UG #6456: Sandvik 700 & 800 track drills continued drilling blast pattern for geogrid <br />subgrade. Further remediation required. <br />C) Geomembrane: <br />Geomembrane installation within Phase 1 continued this week performing deployment, seaming, <br />repair, and QA/QC activities. Approximately 116,216 square feet of 80mil LLDPE geomembrane <br />was deployed. Soil Liner Fill was inspected and approved by AMEC, Ames and ECA <br />representatives prior to geomembrane deployment. Approximately 6,217 linear feet of seam was <br />fusion welded during deployment using one or two fusion welding machines for each day of <br />deployment. Approximately 141 linear feet of seam was extrusion welded during deployment. <br />Destructive and non-destructive testing was completed per technical specifications. <br />Ames continuously excavated anchor trench ahead of geomembrane installation. After <br />geomembrane testing was completed, the anchor trench above finished panels was backfilled <br />and compacted per project specifications. <br />See attached figure for approved geomembrane. <br />II) Storm Water Management <br />Best Management Practices (BMPs) continued to be performed. <br />
