d. Mineral extraction will begin at N 39° 43.076, W 105° 36.797 which is near
center point of proposed disturbance. Direction is always up which is a NE
direction.
e. There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of property or proposed
disturbance.
f. Existing disturbances shown on attached map image from Google Earth labeled
"Existing Disturbances." See attached letter Illustration 1 from the Environmental
Protection Agency stating they have completed the mine waste clean-up within
this portion of the watershed.
3. Reclamation Plan Map
a. Road slope averages near 40 degrees. During reclamation process many areas will
require erosion nets and erosion logs. The proposed trenching area has a slope
that averages near 10 degrees. Similar to the road there will be areas that will
require erosion nets and erosion logs.
b. Vegetation in the form of a seed mix will be applied to all disturbed areas
including the trenched area and mining road. These areas leveled, as example road
berms leveled, then replanted with a seed mixture only so they can be utilized in
the future as a fire break. Therefore no trees or shrubs will get planted in disturbed
area.
c. There are no ponds.
d. Average thickness of replaced overburden will match previous U.S.D.A. land
survey website estimates. This varies from a few inches to near three feet of
overburden depending on exact location analyzed since bedrock is visible in some
areas. However, during reclamation this will change slightly due to leaving road
and trenched area as a fire break. The amount of topsoil and sandy loam of V to
3' thickness is normal for most of the hillside and would be replaced using best
methods to similar thickness.
e. Topsoil replaced to similar amounts as removed as noted above. The exception is
an estimate of 40 to 80 cubic yards of topsoil brought in during reclamation. This
is to ensure all disturbed areas have equal to or more topsoil than when starting the
limited impact operation.
6.3.6 Exhibit F Statement identifying which of the following permits,
licenses and approvals are held or will be sought:
a. Air Quality Emission Permit — Received APEN exemption due to size and scope
of equipment utilized.
b. State Historic Preservation Office Clearance — Contacted and they will not review
until a Reclamation Permit Number is assigned.
c. U.S. Forest / BLM — Property is Patented (private) and does not require access to
forestry or BLM property.
Teton Drilling, Inc.
Dixie Mine - Clear Creek County, CO
