CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS:
1) Earthworks
A) VLF (PSSA, Phase 1, and 2)
Structural Fill:
The following Structural Fill haul to fill and grading activities occurred:
A Cat dozer graded the Structural Fill material between stations A20+00 to A22+00 where the
PSSA access ramp was removed. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the subgrade.
A Cat dozer removed a portion of the slope near station F4+00 at an approximate elevation of
9,760 feet. The dozer stockpiled the material for removal. A Cat front end loader loaded 740 haul
trucks with the Structural Fill material and it was hauled to a fill location near station C16+00. The
material was placed with a Cat dozer and compacted with a Cat smooth drum roller.
A Cat dozer finished subgrade on the slope in preparation for soil liner fill material between
stations C16+00 and C17+00 along ADR2 Haul Road. A Cat dozerfinished subgrade between
stations FM8+00 to FM12+00 and J12+00 and J14+00. Two Cat dozers graded the slope
between stations 114+00 to 118+00, L8+00 to L10+00, DDO+00 to DMO+00, HM10+00 to
HM20+00, HHO+00 to HH2+00, and FM8+00 to FM12+00.
CC&V hauled material to the Dump 4 surge in Phase 2 using Cat 793 haul trucks. A Cat dozer
placed the Structural Fill between stations N20+00 and N22+00. A Cat smooth drum roller
compacted the fill area.
