King Coal Mine (C-1981-035) TR -24 Adequacy Review #1 Response <br />2. DRMS 02/18: King I and King II Maps 002 (Surface Ownership) provide the names and addresses of the <br />surface owners of land within and contiguous to the permit area (with the exception of Wiltze [spelled <br />"Wiltse" according to County records]). It appears these maps have not been updated since 2007 and <br />2006, respectively. Please review the information represented on these maps for accuracy, and update as <br />necessary. <br />DRMS 06/14: The surface ownership maps were updated, but a partial check of the county GIS website <br />revealed some discrepancies, particularly along the southern margin of the King I permit area. Please <br />review the ownership records, and update the maps (and text) as appropriate. <br />King I 8s II, Maps 002 (Surface Ownership) have been updated to reflect ownership <br />data as listed on the La Plata County GIS website. <br />3. DRMS 02/18: King I and King II Maps 003 (Coal Ownership) were last updated in 2007 and 2006. Please <br />review the information represented on these maps for accuracy, and update as necessary. Also, while <br />addresses for Huntington Ranches LLC., the State of Colorado and Bureau of Land Management are <br />provided on Maps 002, and these entities also appear to own coal, the Division could not locate addresses <br />forthe Four Daughters Coal Company and Tipotsch, Richard et. oL, both of which appear to own coal within <br />the King I permit area that either has been mined or will be mined. Please update Maps 003 to give names <br />and addresses for all coal owners. (If preferred, as suggested above, this information can be included solely <br />in text Sections 2.03.4, as long as the maps include a note directing the reader to the section.) <br />DRMS 06/14: The coal ownership has been updated, but information on Kambe and Craig -Farmer - <br />Compton was not provided in the 2.03.4(6) text. Please add these parties to the list of coal owners. <br />King I 8s II, Sections 2.03.4 have been updated to reflect available coal ownership <br />information. <br />4. DRMS 02/18: Rule 2.03.4(9) requires a statement of all lands, interests in lands, options, or pending bids <br />on interests held or made by the applicant for lands which are contiguous to the area covered by the <br />permit. Please provide information regarding any modification that is being sought for existing Lease COC - <br />63920. (Information required by this paragraph may be considered confidential for purposes of these rules <br />if the requirements of Rule 2.07.5 are met.) <br />DRMS 06/14: The text was updated, as requested, to include the lease modification presently being sought <br />by GCC. In the midterm review, the Division should also have requested that the portion of existing Lease <br />COC -63920 within the OSM permit area (Ute Mountain Tribe surface) be described. Please expand <br />2.03.4(9) to address the lease and permit currently held that is contiguous to the DRMS Permit Area. <br />King I & II, Sections 2.03.4 have been updated to address Lease COC -62920, the <br />Ute/Dunn/Stephens Lease and OSMRE Permit CO -0106A. <br />2.03.8 Permit Term Information <br />2.
