2. Worst Case Reclamation Costs
The only activity that would be required for worst case reclamation would be to redistribute the
boulder stockpile(s). The maximum boulder stockpile would 5,000 tons. A cost of $1.00/t is
anticipated. Based on moving the boulders from the center of a 2 acre area an average distance of
150' is assumed. Management and oversight for the reclamation is estimated at 23%. A total bond
of $6,150 should cover the worst case reclamation cost.
3. Post -Reclamation Site Drainage
No change to the topography will occur during this mitigation project. Only a smoothing of the
surface to allow for mechanical brushing.
4. Weed Control
Measures will be employed for control of any noxious weed species. A Weed Control Plan will be
utilized as follows:
• Each April, a weed survey will be made of the permit area.
• If any patches or plants have been identified, they will be sprayed by backpack sprayer or 4 -
wheeler using chemicals approved for use by the weed control staff of Ouray County.
• After reclamation, weed surveys and spraying will continue until the perennial cover of the
site have met DRMS requirements and bond release has been obtained.
The Division and Ouray County weed control staff will be consulted regarding any weed infestation
area and any control measures before they are instigated. The plan does not contemplate total weed
removal on the property.
5. Revegetation
Because the topsoil and root structures of the vegetation will be left undisturbed no active
revegetation will be necessary.
Cottonwood Creek Fire Risk Mitigation Project June 2015 D-2
