h) There will be direct access from the pit onto the existing trail road or the county road.
No new roads will be required.
i) No water is anticipated in conjunction with the operation. There could be instances
when heavy rainfall makes the site too muddy to continue. At those times, mining will
simply cease until the site becomes dry enough to mine again.
j) Mining will not go into the groundwater at the site.
k) Since no water is to be used, there should be no injury to existing water rights.
1) No refuse, acid, or toxic producing materials are anticipated at the site. Other mining
enterprises in this part of Phillips County have never yielded any such materials.
m) The finished pit will be returned to wildlife habitat in the area outside the creek. No
seeding is anticipated in the creek flow area. There should be no disturbance to the
hydrologic balance.
n) There is no processing of the material anticipated at the site.
o) The commodities to be mined are gravel, clay, and sand.
p) The mined materials will primarily be used for road operations.
q) No explosives will be used in this operation.
Phillips County Landfill Page 4
