PERMIT #: M-2001-038 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: TOD <br />INSPECTION DATE: February 10, 2015 <br />Hydrologic Balance: <br />Portions of the site daylight to the east and south. The bottom of the pit was dry. There was no evidence of <br />excessive erosion. There appeared to be no significant impacts to the prevailing hydrologic balance. <br />Gen. Compliance With Mine Plan: <br />The operation appeared to be following the approved mine plan. All mining activity appeared to be within the <br />approved permit boundary. The mining operation was currently expanding deeper in phases 3 and 4. The <br />Operator is nearing the maximum allowed disturbance of 30 acres. If the Operator plans on affecting more than <br />the maximum allowed affected area of 30 acres the Operator will need to file a Technical Revision to the approved <br />permit to increase the maximum allowed affected area. <br />Roads: <br />The access road was stable and well maintained. <br />Reclamation Success: <br />The Operator has successful graded portions of the pit walls. Portions of the disturbed land have begun to fill in <br />with the volunteer vegetation. This site has not yet undergone final reclamation been reclaimed. <br />Reve etg_ ation: <br />There was some plant growth on the stockpiles and throughout the disturbed area. The growth in the disturbed <br />area appeared to be volunteer vegetation, comprised of grasses, a few annual weeds and a few noxious weeds. <br />Noxious weeds observed in the disturbed area appeared to be some form(s) of thistle(s), the thistle(s) was dormant <br />during the inspection and could not be properly identified. Promptly after the inspection, the Operator emailed <br />the Division photos providing proof of recent mechanical weed control implementation. The Operator's <br />representative stated they would continue to monitor and treat noxious weeds within the permit boundary. The <br />Operator is advised to continue to monitor and treat noxious weeds as they appear within the disturbed area. <br />Erosion/Sedimentation: <br />There was no evidence of excessive erosion (gullies, or sediment fans). Some of the slopes have small rills begin <br />to form. <br />Signs and Markers: <br />A mine I.D. sign was located at the entrance to the mine site. The permit boundary was marked by t -posts and a <br />barbwire fence. <br />Topsoil: <br />There appeared to be an adequate amount of topsoil to reclaim the site. There were well -vegetated topsoil <br />stockpiles located in the eastern portions of phases 2 and 3.
